CitySense, the mobile app developed by Matteo Seu at TSC, won the "First prize for the best presentation on the topic of Free Software".

The application, designed to involve citizens in the monitoring of the environmental conditions of their town, was presented to the Committee in the morning of December 20, together with the other eight projects that got through to the final.

The contest was established by GULCh (Linux Users Group of Cagliari), "Apriti Software!" and Agile Group, with the patronage of DIEE (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), to commemorate Giulio Concas, professor at the University of Cagliari and founder of the university spin-off Floss-lab. The conference was a tribute to the professor who, with his work at Floss-Lab and in the academic world, contributed to the spread of the "Open" philosophy in Sardinia.

CitySense is co-winner of the first prize along with SARDU, a multi-boot creator proposed by David Costa.
