Talent, passion , project: the winners of the contest Superstarter

The startup Xmetrics crosses the finish line of the Superstarter contest sponsored by Superpartes and TSC.

The transformation of talent and passion into concrete projects: this is the objective of Superstarter contest, which ended in Brescia on October 4, during the first edition of the Supernova Festival.

The staff of the incubator of Brescia selected five finalists among the 60 projects of italian innovative companies.

During the meeting, the finalists (BLE-MESH, IOOOTA, QAPP, QUICIBO, XMETRICS) explained their projects to the expert panel composed of businessmen and rappresentatives of venture capital: Angelo Facchinetti (CEO at Mittel Management Srl), Cesare Maifredi (General Partners of 360 Capital Partners), Stefano Molino (Partner of Innogest SGR Spa), Layla Pavone (Venture Partner of Digital Magics), Marino Piotti (CEO at Superpartes Innovation Campus).

All these personalities have co-operated in the growth of the Italian digital industry in the last years.

The winner of the prize of 50,000 euros was Xmetrics, which proposed the project of a device that records the parameters of the training of swimmers and provides suggestions during the training.

The award also includes an experience of 12 months in the “Superpartes Innovation Campus” incubator, a period during which the winners could use the facilities and the spaces of the campus, as well as the support of the members, in order to transform their company in a competitive reality ready to face the market.

To nurture innovative companies, first locally and then globally, is the mission of the open innovation laboratory of Brescia. It was born thanks to some successful entrepreneurs (including Francesco Beraldi - TSC Consulting) that decided to share their experience, gained in different industrial sectors, with the young talents.

The startups that the campus admits are supported for 24 months by a team of 30 experts that helps them in: development of the idea, product design, improvement of the business model, creation and development of the team and, finally, research of the first customers.

The Superstarterday wanted to be both a party for the participants in the contest, and an opportunity to brining together who is launching a technological startup and potential investors and supporters that can make it grow.
